Cone beam 3D imaging technology is a unique imaging system that allows our periodontist to view a detailed, three-dimensional X-rays of your teeth, mouth, and surrounding structures. The process of taking these X-rays is quick, simple, and comfortable. Once the X-rays are complete, they are imported to the scanner’s partner software system, NobelClinician. By viewing the X-rays on a computer, our periodontist can then diagnose present anatomical structures and create a treatment plan that more accurately places your dental implant.
In addition to using cone beam imaging to better plan your treatments, we also use a surgical guide to aid our periodontist in the actual procedure for placing your dental implant. This ensures that the precise planned placement of the implant post is carried through, thus increasing your chances of having a successful treatment.
Using cone beam 3D imaging and surgical guides are effective for helping us to better diagnose, plan, and perform procedures that are specific to your dental conditions and needs. At our practice, we want each of our patients to receive the personalized care they need and a successful dental implant treatment. If you have any questions about the technology we use to improve your treatments, we invite you to call or visit our practice today. We look forward to caring for your smile!
